Let the EU lawsuits begin
Well the UK has officially lost its edge. Government phone-tapping laws were condemned as a breach of human rights at the end of a nine-year legal battle over privacy.
I so hope this is as trendy in the US as the Beatles, Ramones, and Sex Pistols turned out to be.
Also an honorable mention to the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) which filed suit on behalf of Sophia In’t Veld represents the Netherlands, demanding that the U.S. government release records about her “risk assessment” score and other information gathered about her travel. The lawsuit about the denied FOIA requests is perfectly timed with the EU and US being on the verge of an information sharing agreement.
